Weekend necklaces

Last weekend we popped into Dover Street Market, where I saw some great african/native Indian-inspired jewellery. So this weekend, taking my cue from those pieces, I made a few necklaces using seed beads and japanese beads from the Bead Shop in Covent Garden. Here are my first attempts - I like their asymetric, off-beat design, and I'm playing with other colour combinations. I can see them worn with a simple white shirt, or if you wear lots of them at once you can create a more layered and obviously 'ethnic' look. However, I'm wary of straying too far into 'socks with sandals' territory... What do you think?
